Coverage with a purpose
Define overview, incident review and identification requirements for each zone before choosing camera positions.
Cameras are only the beginning. Build a surveillance system around what your team needs to see, retrieve and act on.
A loading bay, a reception and a perimeter do not need the same view. STARK starts with the purpose of each camera, then brings coverage, recording, connectivity and operator access into a coordinated design. The result should be useful footage and a clear way to manage it, rather than simply a larger camera count.
Define overview, incident review and identification requirements for each zone before choosing camera positions.
Review lens, lighting, mounting height, distance, environment and the movement you need to capture.
Size the recorder and usable storage for agreed retention, then test search, playback and export.
Plan switches, cabling, bandwidth and power alongside the cameras, with restricted administration.
Assess useful existing equipment and confirm model-level compatibility before proposing replacement.
Agree camera naming, access roles, training and a documented support route.
Share the information available to your team. Do not send passwords, private footage or access codes in the enquiry form.
We first check device models, firmware, recorder support and the features you need. Some equipment may be reusable; compatibility is confirmed during assessment, not assumed from a brand name.
A site layout and a clear objective for each area are required. Camera count alone does not establish coverage. We consider entrances, aisles, boundaries, lighting and the level of detail required.
Storage depends on average bitrate, camera count, recording hours, retention and resilience. Use our estimator for an initial planning figure; final sizing needs measured or justified bitrate assumptions.
Installation scope, warranty support and ongoing maintenance are set out in the proposal. Ask for the maintenance option and response arrangements to be included explicitly.
Connect the signal, the operator and the person who can act. A monitoring service needs a response process, not just a wall of video.
